I've loved these ads since the first time I saw them in Rolling Stone magazine. I saw one of these in Communication Arts and was reminded of them, so I went to the art director's website, Jason Stanfield, and found the rest of the series. I love the nostalgia of these pieces with the old photographs and the coloring that is going on to help portray that feeling. What really impresses me about these pieces though is the text. I think it's brilliant and hilarious.

Outstanding find Ali, i really like th grid work that's going on aswell. As you pointed out, i think they did an excellent job of using great imagery and the typeface that accentuates it. good stuff.
